Bliss Franco


Bliss Franco was born in Santa Monica and grew up on the West Side of Los Angeles. A proud product of Catholic School education, Ms. Franco attended elementary school at St. Gerard Majella in Culver City Like her mother and her entire family, she graduated from St. Monica’s Catholic High School in Santa Monica.

After high school, Ms. Franco attended Santa Monica College and West Los Angeles College. She took almost every class that Santa Monica College’s Early Childhood Department offered at the time. Ms. Franco earned Certifications in Early Childhood Development and ECE Special Needs from Santa Monica College. Ms. Franco has a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development from Pacific Oaks College. She has been teaching for 10 years and has taught at Good Shepherd since 2011. She has worked 7 years as a Pre-K teacher, 2 years as an Intervention Coach TA for LAUSD, and 18 months as an Infant/Toddler Development teacher at St. John’s Health Center Child and Family Development Center.

Ms. Franco passionately and strongly believes that as an educator, she has the responsibility to plant the seeds of love for diversity in the hearts of her students. She believes that each child is a unique individual formed by his/her own experiences. Students should be treated with respect no matter their age and their ideas should always be listened to and valued. She wants to create a love for learning in her students. Ms. Franco believes that she is just an individual trying to do her part to make this world a better place. She takes the responsibility of having a name like “Bliss” very seriously, which is why she wants to continue adding happiness to the lives of each of the children, families, and individuals she interacts with

At Good Shepherd. Ms. Franco is also a Student Council Moderator and teaches Pre-K /TK Spanish. Outside of Good Shepherd, she enjoys spending time with her big family, going to concerts and musicals, exploring LA, all things Disney. traveling the world, fitness, and trying to make the world a better place!
