Beth Phillips

BACHELOR OF ARTS IN ENGLISH, UCLA

MS EDUCATION & CLEAR PROFESSIONAL CA TEACHING CREDENTIAL, MOUNT ST. MARY’S

Beth Phillips was born at St Joseph’s Hospital in Burbank and grew up in Van Nuys. She attended St. Francis de Sales in Sherman Oaks and went on to Corvallis High School in Studio City.

Ms. Phillips earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from UCLA and an MS in Education from Mount St. Mary’s, along with a Clear Professional California Teaching Credential.

Ms. Phillips has been teaching for over 25 years including High School & Juni or High English Language Arts, as well as the Fourth and Fifth grades. One of her favorite examples of her teaching philosophy is “Children Learn What They Live”, A Poem By by Dorothy Law Nolte.

Along with teaching Good Shepherd’s 5th grade class, Ms. Phillips has been t he Religion Coordinator, Character Counts Coordinator, Testing Coordinator and is currently assisting with the GSBH Today newspaper.

Outside of school, Ms. Phillips loves reading, hiking, movies, boogie boarding. attending concerts and plays and spending time with her children Garrett, Caitrin Brenna and grandchildren, Nolan and June.
