BA IN ENGLISH, FRANCISCAN UNIVERSITY OF STEUBENVILLE

Mrs. Sarah Mirasol grew up in Ohio where she attended Catholic schools and the Franciscan University of Steubenville majoring in English with a concentration in writing. She was a teacher in St. Louis, Washington D.C., Toledo, and in LA. Mrs. Mirasol taught at Good Shepherd Catholic School from 2014 to 2019 and is thrilled to be back again after completing a Masters degree in Catechetics.

Mrs. Mirasol is passionate about the active learning of her students. She thinks writing is very important in all classes as a way of learning the material, organizing one’s thoughts, and expressing comprehension. She founded the school newspaper, GSBH Today. She is excited to teach Literature again and hopes to cultivate in the students a great love of reading.

Mrs. Mirasol loves Good Shepherd’s strong Catholic identity. She hopes her students develop an understanding of Scripture and liturgy, make connections between loving Christ and living the works of mercy, and mature in their love of prayer as the key to a personal relationship with God.

Outside of school, Mrs. Mirasol enjoys hiking, watching old movies, and planning trips to Ohio.
